Sometimes, I get hyperfixated on genealogy. I'm definitely no expert, but I do my best to be as accurate as I can. Here are my oldest ancestors I've found, so far, that I can confidently trace.

• Samuel Davis I (Jan 24, 1610 - April 22, 1667)
  • b. London, England, d. Colony of Virginia
• William de Irwyn of Wodehouse (c. 1195 - 1205)
  • William de Irwyn (c. 1260 - 1333) is an honorable mention, as he became known as Alexander I, as was the first Laird of Drum.
  • Geni.com, which is not necessarily a trustworthy source, says that his father was "William or Gilbert." Since I don't know which, I'll end it there.

• I don't have a strong sense of a type, but there are a few traits that show up routinely when I get a crush. They're not always together (e.g., maybe they have brown eyes but are blond), but all of my crushes have had at least one of these in common:

• A Birthday, Not a Break ||| Crying at Your Birthday Party
  • At a certain point it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, so I do what I can to avoid any mention of my birthday at all. The best birthdays possible are ones where I have absolutely NO expectations!!! If I want to celebrate, then I'd rather do it before or after. I used to be a Birthday Hater, but now it really is just a matter of keeping my head down. I know to people who have their birthdays as a big celebration, this would seem terrible -- but for me it's perfect.
