I've never watched any movie or show from the X-Men. The franchise is so humongous that it's impossible for me not to pick up bits and bobs here and there, so there have inevitably been spoilers I've come across, but for the most part? I have no idea what's going on. I've decided to watch the movies in order of the timeline, instead of by release. You can read my initial thoughts on First Class here.

This contains spoilers for Origins: Wolverine, as well as spoilers for the comics -- I have no idea which ones are going to be relevant, so be careful. May or may not be spoilers for later movies.

  • Dude was all like, "He'S nOt YoUr FaThEr" and I was all like "Bruh, you clearly suck, idgaf."
  • Logan being born in the 1800s makes his facial hair make so. much. sense.
  • That said, joking aside -- listen, I LOVED this movie, but immortal(-esque) powers always kinda make me roll my eyes, a bit, with very few exceptions. Why is he stuck as the age he is now, and not the age he was when his powers were triggered? Or when his body matured? I get why they do this for plot reasons, yes, but I can't help but think it's a bit dumb. Sorry, mates.
  • That said, it's interesting to see the mysterious healing powers in action. When he briefly became a mentor to Kamala Khan, the two of them talked about healing abilities, and Logan mentioned that he'd lost his. It definitely makes me interested in how that happened.
  • I fully expected Kayla to die, but I was not expecting the double cross of sorts. That was fucked up, fam.
  • I actively wish he'd killed Victor. #sorrynotsorry that dude's a serial killer, doesn't exactly seem excited to stop.
  • Deadpool has been introduced!

Here's where I am now.
