moments

• thesis defense with agatha, and all the joyous & miserable moments before, after, & in between
• senior's night with englit department, loudly singing karaoke with our professors and the freshmen in the room, saying our farewell messages, being awarded "the sweetest" by our department chair
• sorsogon with POEM, eating good food prepared by ate mai's family, driving around the beautiful province, kayaking around bulusan lake, swimming, hiking up the hanging bridge, taking lots of photographs
• flying to davao with family, staying at a family friend's house, getting to know the city, riding at the back of a pick-up truck to go places, going to the night market to buy charcoal ice cream
• internship at batangas, meeting new people, exploring the city with my friends, living away from home for a month, joining & winning miss elite 2019, a stupid & fleeting love affair
• tagaytay with family with tita lisa & elron, a few weeks after i've last seen them; going to skyranch, going to a huge ukay-ukay, and spending a day at a resort because elron wouldn't rest until we did so
• the castle fancon in manila, going to cubao alone, meeting strangers & friends alike, that empty, post-concert feeling, almost being left by my bus home & chasing it down on a stranger's motorcycle
• manila international bookfair, going to manila to buy books which is a little crazy, walking around seaside blvd, walking around mibf with arri & chzardale, buying lots and lots of philippine literature,meeting ry for the first time & talking for hours, karaoke with arri, chz, karen, and
• having our puppy, yuqi, even for only a few months before we lost her, taking her out for walks, her excitedly greeting me when i get home, her meeting my dad just before she started to get weak
• teacher's day at work, celebrating happily with my co-workers, receiving gifts & hugs from my students
• frequent sleepovers with gony & boboy, playing cards, listening to music on speakers, watching a film none of us have watched, or a show we want each other to love
• spontaneous beach trip with gony & thea just hours before i leave for manila, sitting by the sand overlooking the sunset, playing a question game, spilling each other's secrets, the most peaceful i've ever been
• 2nd quarter meeting at batangas, traveling from our year-ender party at pasay, eating good food, playing messy games, exchanging gifts, and staying up until 4 am sharing stories, and fighting over political stances
• taal, batangas with chan, a side-trip from our team meeting, chan introducing me to his temporary home, falling in love with the heritage town, buying pasalubong at the market
