• 8 AM My alarm went off 30 minutes ago. I'm still lying in bed reading an Anne of Green Gables book.
  • 9 AM I am eating breakfast: trader joe fiber o's and still reading that book.
  • 10 AM Driving down the 67 to El Cajon to apply for a driver license at the DMV. It's misting and I'm listening to Cake by the Ocean.
  • 11 AM Standing at Station 19 at the DMV, getting my thumb printed and my eyes checked. I smile grimly for the camera and pass the test.
  • 12 PM Just finished gassing up the car, and about to drive back home through the mist.
  • 1 PM Signing in at the Fund for Wildlife for my training shift with Terry and the cats.
  • 2 PM Collecting stray poop, switching out the water, and trying to tell the difference between Mario and Bob.
  • 3 PM Terry feeds the cats and I play with some of the more actively inclined kitties. I've differentiated Bob and Mario. But not all the orange tabbies and the gray tabbies.
  • 4 PM Learning how to do the laundry, and talking baseball with Terry.
  • 5 PM Signing out and driving home.
  • 6 PM In the middle of makin chickenless chicken dumplings. Ellie concocts a apple cider oatmeal cookie.
  • 7 PM Talk to Mom on the phone, while drawing hearts in my planner. Mostly about my health and my dealings with doctors.
  • 8 PM Write a letter to Mary and rebandage my thumb.
