april 2017
- the McBaine Burr Oak: v cool big ole tree, pleasant short drive from providence to K onto the country roads
- Mug's Up: best burger I've had in a while, root beer comes in a frosted mug, cheese fries come with onion. cash only. good service.
- Capen Park Hinkson Creek Trail: short, but not a too many people. great birding: thrasher, both kinglets, sparrows, etc. would be good for rock climbing
the district: parked at garage at 8th St & Walnut (50c/hour)
- Maude Vintage: pricey but great selection, purchased blue flannel shirt and embroidered handbag
- Main Squeeze Cafe: tried the TKO wrap (huge, good) and Purple Rain juice (tart)//really cute atmosphere, saw Julien Baker here, lots of hanging plants and handcrocheted squares on each chair wish I worked at a place like this
- Shortwave Coffee: p good coffee, tavern/cave like atmo, good place to read a book
- the Blue Note: not a great crowd, charged $10 for Maker's Mark on the rocks
next time: Flat Branch Pub, Yellow Dog Books, Bluestem Mo Crafts, explore wilderness at Cosmo Park, check out Rock Bridge SP, climb more at Pinnacles, Little Dixie Lake, Finger Lakes SP/Rocky Mountain CA
