- Being able to buy clothes a size smaller than I bought them last time
- Being able to donate to something I believe in/support
- Being able to tell when Spring has arrived
- Being accepted when I completely speak my mind.
- Being alone in the house with my boyfriend and doing nothing but enjoying the silence
- Being chosen to read things out of the anonymous “Compliment” box in the 4th grade (this was my favourite thing in the whole world to do)
- Being in a heavy film-watching mood and being able to satisfy that mood by watching lots of films
- Being in a swimming pool when it starts to rain
- Being kissed on the forehead (by anyone I know)
- Being surprised and really enjoying whatever I was surprised with
- Being told by someone that I ended up being a lot cooler/nicer/etc. than they thought I would be
- Being told that I was missed, even if I wasn’t necessarily gone
- Being told that something other than my eyes or face is pretty/beautiful/etc.
- Discovering new flavours of already existing products
- Finding a new musician’s voice to gush over
- Finding a piece of classical music that gives me chills
- Finding photos that move me emotionally
- Foreign accents, especially early 1900’s British, Jamaican, Indian, Scottish, and North-Eastern American
- Getting a fabulous new hair style
- Getting a new nickname that I like from someone I care about
- Getting to see something/someone in person that I’ve always wanted to see
- Girls that are shy and boys that are modest
- Having no dirty dishes in the sink
- Kids in pajamas
- Kids saying “MUAH!” when they kiss someone
- Knowing that someone loves me even half as much as I love them
- Male Opera singers with outstanding voices
- Meeting a boy that I’m not instantly intimidated by/shy around (this is extremely rare).
- Meeting someone online that I know I’m not going to forget
- People that are so inspiring that I’m almost ashamed to know them because I know I’m not nearly as inspiring
- People who tell the truth as much as possible because they know that lies hurt worse than the truth
- Phone calls from people I actually want to hear from
- Really liking something that very few people enjoy(ed)
- Robin’s ridiculous speech in Batman comics (as Rorb would say, “Holy fuckin’ shit waffles, Batman!")
- Seeing a child discover something new
- Silent “thank you”s and “you’re welcome”s with strangers
- Somewhat accurately guessing the total on the upcoming grocery bill in the check-out line and having more than enough to pay for it
- Starting to stop laughing with someone just to have one of you start laughing again, so the whole things starts over
- Surprise endings that are actually good, especially in a book
- The “woop”ing sound my dog makes when he’s dreaming
- The feeling I get when I have a crush on someone
- The last week of school before summer vacation
- Understanding whatever mathematics I’m studying
- When I hear a really good choir sing a Christmas song that I love
- When more than one of the categories on Jeopardy! are in my range of knowledge
- When my grandfather tells me a memory of his that he’s never told me before, and it’s a good one
