Asherah is an ancient Semitic name meaning “she who walks on the sea” or “lady of the sea”. Asherah was a mother goddess and called the queen of heaven. She was also considered by some to be a fertility goddess. Amulets were found depicting the tree of life as having grown from her stomach.

Patronized by women, family matriarchs made offerings of incense, drinks, and cakes impressed with her image on home altars. Sacred trees, also called Asherah, were planted in her honor and became places of meeting until her worship was prohibited.

I see this as quite a powerful name, on par with other goddesses such as Isis and Rhea. That being said, for me, the meaning makes this name shine.
