Helena is from the English form of the Greek Ἑλένη (Helene), possibly meaning "torch" or "corposant". In Greek mythology, Helen was the beautiful daughter of Zeus and Leda, whose kidnapping by Paris sparked the Trojan War.
Helena makes me think of clothbound books, floral skirts, and wellies. It's intellectual and natural in the best ways.
The only issue I really have is pronunciaiton. Jay tends to say HEHL-ə-nə and I say hə-LAYN-ə.
