Theodore is from the Greek name Θεόδωρος (Theodoros), which means "gift of god" from the Greek θεός (theos) meaning "god" and δῶρον (doron) meaning "gift". I think Theo would make a cute nickname and maybe a little Teddy might be adorable as a baby.
