Ahdunno why I started this again. I stopped when I got my Hobonichi and thought I'd write everything down in there. But sometimes I forget things, or they seem too trivial, or I feel like typing them instead of writing them. That's why I started doing my monthly Good Things list again, though I abandoned that as well. So, I don't know how long it will last, but here it is anyway.

almanac

  • Autumn
    • Month of: Serendipity
  • 17 | My Birthday
  • 22 | Earth Day
  • 23 | International Book Day
  • 27 | King's Day
  • 29 | Tabletop Day
  • 29-5 | Golden Week

happened & did

  • Took Mum to the Holland Festival.
  • Started doing a daily tracker to see if various aspects of my life match up with moon phases and/or astrolenergies.
  • Bought 2 new dolls (Curvy Barbie & Fashionista Ken).
  • Bought Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them DVD. =D
    • And watched it that night, of course!
  • Created Eurovision 2017 - The Food list.
  • Made A take me out to dinner for my birthday.
  • Visited ETSH. Read S a bedtime story.
  • Had dinner with S&B & C&D. Terrible food, but good company.
  • Work April Birthdays lunch. Terrible food (am I seeing a trend here?).
  • Made A take me to Taco Bill and I finally got a decent meal (and 2 margaritas!).
  • I started doing the Creative Dream Circle Sharing Circles, and finding them good so far. After each one, other people have posted saying they were inspired or took something away from what I wrote, which is strange but also gives me motivation to keep going. I've done 3 so far.
  • Had a bath. Reminded of why it kinda sucks.

learned & discovered

  • Came to the conclusion that I'm a Huffleclaw. It's a thing, and it's good!
  • If a cat likes you, it wants you to sniff its bum just like a dog does. Yay.
  • Also, if a cat sits near you but looking away, it's actually a sign that it trusts you, because it doesn't have to keep watching you. It might even mean that the cat is helping to protect you, because it's looking out for predators on your behalf.
  • I think I prefer comedy that's more like storytelling than disjointed episodes. If it has to be disjointed, then I really love it when they refer back to an earlier one at the end.

made

  • working on my temperature scarf every day
  • a little on my grannyland blanket. I think I want to make it bigger than originally planned.
  • finished my embroidered yellow table mat!

cooked

  • Make GF scones for the first time, and they worked out amazingly fluffy! Yum!

read

  • started re-reading the Harry Potter series
  • started Pagan Magic of the Northern Tradition (purchased at Spellbox)
  • read Quidditch Through the Ages

watched

  • Attack on Titan S02
    • Being released 1 ep at a time, waaaaah
  • 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala
  • Spy Man, that was a really funny movie!
  • Saw Comedy Up Late and it was OK. Saw Comedy Next Gen with Simon Taylor and he was really funny.

played

  • Ever since I started work at my new job, I've been completely addicted to Pokemon GO again. Having 6 Pokestops on the way to/from work, and a large park nearby help immensely.
  • Continuing with Village Life. Fuck knows why, as you have to watch video ads to get anything done on time.
  • Started playing a little Township again because of the Easter event. I opened up the zoo, and that's providing some (cautious) interest.
    • Lost interest again after Easter event finished.

memes / words / quotes / good things / funny things

  • from an auto-translated blog, describing people who love to upcycle: "people like that conquer my potato."
  • rediscovered "MurrayMurray!" after reading one of my lists from a year ago. =D
  • We were at a restaurant, and we had ordered the rocky road sundae. girl came up to us and said, "we're very sorry, but the vanilla ice cream's malted, so would you rather have more strawberry or more chocolate?" Now, I didn't say anything, but I was thinking, "what's wrong with malted vanilla ice cream, I love malt!" But I didn't, I just agreed with Husband when he decided on chocolate. I said to him afterwards though, "what's wrong with malted ice cream? A lot of people love malted drinks, so why would they not want malt-flavoured ice cream?" Husband just looked at me and said, "I think you'll find she said the ice cream was melted..."
    • Thank goodness I didn't say anything to the girl, because I would have been like, "no, I want malted ice cream please!" and she would have heard, "I want to eat MELTED ice cream!" Oh jeeeeez
