- you say you went to 'the university of life'
- you are proud of the fact that you haven't finished a book since high school
- you are disrespectful and entitled towards those who work in the service industry
- you let your children act rude and disruptive in public places
- your children are permanently glued to sticky ipads with 'child friendly' rubbery covers
- you ask whether someone you have just met is a catholic or a protestant out of context, or, failing that, what school they went to, which is the same question
- you loudly proclaim your oh-so-enlightened opinions on the related conflict, listeners be damned
- you post RIP statuses on facebook when someone has died, rather than pay your respects in person
- even more tacky if it's someone you didn't know very well
- you incessantly update social media
- you talk politics on social media
- you are a man, and you make unsolicited negative comments about women's appearances
- bonus tacky points if you categorise, rank, and impose numerical constructs on these judgements.
- bonus tacky points if the woman on whom you are commenting is your wife, daughter, or sister
- collect more tacky points if you yourself are overweight, schlubby, and unstylish.
