picture of the Queen Lawrence Krauss: The amazing thing is that every atom in your body came from a star that exploded. And, the atoms in your left hand probably came from a different star than your right hand. It really is the most poetic thing I know about physics: You are all stardust. You couldn’t be here if stars hadn’t exploded, because the elements - the carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, iron, all the things that matter for evolution - weren’t created at the beginning of time. They were created in the nuclear furnaces of stars, and the only way they could get into your body is if those stars were kind enough to explode. So, forget Jesus. The stars died so that you could be here today. dec 27 2012 ∞feb 11 2013 +

My best advice to anyone who wants to raise a happy, mentally healthy child is: Keep him or her as far away from a church as you can. If you wind up with a boring, miserable life because you listened to your mom, your dad, your teacher, your priest or some guy on TV telling you how to do your shit, then YOU DESERVE IT. A composer is a guy who goes around forcing his will on unsuspecting air molecules, often with the assistance of unsuspecting musicians. Tax the FUCK out of the churches! I never set out to be weird. It was always other people who called me weird. The whole foundation of Christianity is based on the idea that intellectualism is the work of the Devil. Remember the apple on the tree? Adam Savage - Come, Silent Walrus, let us storm the castle! Alan Moore - Life isn’t divided into genres. It’s a horrifying, romantic, tragic, comical, science-fiction cowboy detective novel. You know, with a bit of pornography if you're lucky. George Stroumboulopoulos - [after Bob Mackowycz asked him how many emotions there are] I only know of two: fear, and panic. John Waters - You can't date rape a cookie. may 29 2010 ∞dec 3 2013 +
