- seeing old friends again, and feeling as if we never parted
- snow! (though soon to arrive and soon to leave)
- the most spectacular dreams
- a strange obsession with bog bodies

- celebrating the birthdays of some dear friends
- more snow and less school
- wearing a giant bow in my hair
- bonfire gathering, love all around
- paper snowflakes and coloring books
- spontaneous dance parties, being as ridiculous as possible
- playing hide-and-seek and tag in the dark
- used books as party favors
- a very white Christmas, the first I've known in a long time
- being very much spoiled with new books
- wining ten dollars from a lottery ticket (they seem less silly to me instances like these)
- late night drives to look at lights and visits to waffle house, playing blues on the jukebox
- my beautiful new pointe shoes that fit like a glove
- even more new additions to my library from the used book store (I found a few of the Penguin Great Idea Series!)
- having faith in my friendships
