- Beehive Tea Room
- Beautiful little rooms, amazing atmosphere. Stick with tea, don't try and get anything too fancy here.
- Cafe on 1st
- Blended chai is the best thing you can get here.
- Coffee Break
- Kind of a weird atmosphere (filled with weirdos), and not the best coffee, but sometimes it's just what you need. Sub-par coffee.
- Coffee Garden
- Great location, lovely music, good drinks. A great place to get things done. I tend to get tea when I'm here. Maybe it's the classical music pushing me towards pretension.
- Diva's Cupcakes and Coffee
- Although the frosting-to-cupcake ratio isn't quite correct (in my opinion), There is a beautiful dome-like room that is just lovely. The baristas and friendly, and the drinks are yummy!
- Greenhouse Effect
- While sometimes filled with pretentious douchebags, Greenhouse provides beautiful scenery and delicious crepes. But really, don't go at night. Full of douchebags.
- John Mormon Coffee
- Probably home to the best actual coffee in the Salt Lake valley. I've never hung around here though, so I don't really know the atmosphere.
- No Brow
- Nice coffee. Hip crowd, but it's manageable (if you bring a friend or just going to get work done). Since it's in the middle of everything, you can grab a drink and head out to check out all the shops on the block.
- Nostalgia
- Pretty wood motif, delicious coffee and treats. Lack of outside seating. Nobody really tends to bug you here, so it's a good place to get in the work zone.
- Sugarhouse Coffee
- Sugarhouse has a more communal aspect to it. Expect to be talked to. It's in a nice area, too. Don't forget about their food.
- Sunset Coffee
- The chai here is very good. My go-to drink is a Chai Fog (Earl Grey tea and chai) with soymilk. Beautiful, and I mean beautiful, view of the valley. Don't get the French roast--always stick with whatever their daily brew is.
- Tea Grotto
- Go with at least four people so you can get more than one pot of their delicious tea.
