- if the weather permits, spend as much time as possible outside before winter sets in.
- enjoy viewing autumn leaves.
- start mixing darker colours into your wardrobe like forest green, marone and checked patterns.
- go through your cardigans and embellish/alter some if you like.
- go on a walk through the park and collect pine cones, autumn leaves and dried flowers.
- display them in a shadow box. Try pressing leaves.
- now that it's getting cool enough to drink hot drinks again, re-organise your teas; make sure each one has its own pretty tin.
- get out your watercolours and paint the yellows, oranges and reds of autumn leaves.
- bake hot cross buns or other small treats.
- visit an orchard or pumpkin patch.
- start sewing a dress out of heavier fabric to be ready for winter.
- cook dishes with ingredients like apple, pumpkin and cinnamon.
- buy some socks on sale and experiment with layering them.
- break out your scarves! Experiment with different colours and textures. Try wearing 2 at once.
- go to the library and choose some seasonal books to read.
- sew a sleeping mask to prepare for the hibernation season!
- use a fountain pen; practice your calligraphy.
- clean the house with herbal washes and refresh the bedding.
