For a more effective cleanse, wash face with filtered water if living in hardwater areas. This will reduce flaking skin.

  • sun cream if going out

Going to sleep?

  • water based cleanser
  • exfoliator (mask for sensitive skin/scrub)
  • massage with oil or cream and a few drops of essential oil
  • toner
  • (treatments such as a booster/serum)
  • sheet mask 2 times a week (for 4 weeks and then switch to once a week)
  • eye cream
  • moisturiser
  • oil to keep moisture trapped

Additional

  • if experiencing micropigmentation from plucking hair on the face, do not use chemical peels as these may enhance the pigment. instead manually exfoliate and continue routine as normal. Scars will fade within 12-36 months.
  • follow these steps even if you work nights/have an uncertain sleep schedule
  • steam cleanse once a month to reduce excess oils (bowl of boiled water with teatree, lavender and a towel over your head you know the drill)
  • the skin is an organ and eats whatever you put on it
  • this only affects the top layers of skin, for the rest of the work the diet needs to be healthy and full of nutrients and vitamins even if that food is fattening, e.g. fruits contain natural sugars but also contain micronutrients that act as antioxidants. These help with weight management and relieving stress, and benefit the skin.
  • exercise helps with the fattening part if that is a concern. exercise, along with facial massage, also gives the face a slimmer and more even appearance.
  • after exercise consume protein and veg as soon as possible for your muscles to feed on like audrey II from little shop of horrors.
  • sheet masks are expensive so after using them once, put them back in the pack and put them in the fridge with cling film over them. Use it again in the morning. This can also reduce puffiness from the coolness.
  • cucumbers really do reduce puffiness around the eyes. In place of or in between sheet masks, use a cream or peel mask and place cucumber slices on the eyes.
  • while doing cream or peel masks, if they are on hand, use anti pore strips on the nose.
