- the fabulous wrap-around built-ins in our NY kitchen & master bedroom
- yellow Tupperware colanders with handles
- the big Zenith floor unit TV that probably weighed about 2 tons
- the beautiful, huge brown hutch whose cupboards were filled with vinyl records, whose drawers were filled with piles of random stuff, & whose shelves were filled with books & super interesting nik naks
- Dad's La-Z-Boy recliner with its flappy armrest protectors
- Dad's dark plaid wool throw blanket from Scotland
- the Bols bottle with the ballerina in it
- the great big living room lamps that Ma painted
- Ma's ceramic/craft studio
- my big, pastel blue dollhouse
- the tall, narrow, frosted yellow windows on either side of our front door in KY - Ma covered the outer glass with shutters, then removed the inner glass and build an entire miniature world on display

- a knitting machine that I once drew on
- the green & blue mini Avon pitchers/bowls that were kept in the bathroom
- Ma's tin of beautiful Crabtree & Evelyn soaps & bath fizzers - she refused to use them because they were so nice, but I'd dig the tin out sometimes to look at and smell the items inside
- the wicker cornucopia & fake fruits we'd pull out every Thanksgiving
- Dad's little handheld radio whose antenna was always popping off so he'd repair it with chewing gum & foil
- a ceramic brown cow planter in our NY kitchen
- the big ceramic Holy Family that was pulled out every Christmas - I think Mary & Joseph eventually broke but the baby Jesus in the manger was then always placed under the tree
- Ma's rifle collection hanging in the master bedroom
- my bed that had been my great-grandmother's - I used it from the age of 3 or 4 until I left home at 23; the paint was chipped in a few places, revealing just how many times it had been painted over its long lifespan!
