Unlike the rest of the people I research, Sol Pais isn’t a criminal. She is a teenage girl who was part of the online True Crime Community and was very interested in the Columbine shooting, especially Eric Harris. On Sunday, April 14th, 2019, 6 days before the 20th anniversary of the Columbine shooting, Sol Pais was last seen by her parents in Florida; they reported her missing the next day. Sol had left home and flown to Denver, Colorado, arriving on the 15th. From there she went to Littleton to purchase a gun at Colorado Gun Broker. Tuesday morning, Florida police informed the Miami FBI who then informed the Denver FBI that Sol was a possible threat. A manhunt began and schools in the area were shut down. On Wednesday, April 17th, police search Echo Lake Lodge and discover her body at the base of Mount Evans; she had committed suicide. The autopsy report reveals that she likely died on the 15th, the day before the manhunt began. Sol struggled with mental health issues and with proper help, she could have been alive today.
