  • week 1 | 1/16-1/22
    • as everyone said, the first week is always tough. i lost my sleep schedule on the day 1 (1/16). of course the negative symptoms are there too--fatigue, sleepiness, drowsiness, mood swing, brain fog etc.
    • day 3 (1/18), starting to manage it better than before, the rule i set is, it's fine to sleep if i'm tired. but the brain fog and lack of focus are still there
    • day 6 (1/21), lots of mood swing from day 4 till now. and my mom just bought me a coffee without knowing i'm currently trying to stop (she knows now tho) but now, it seems my body is trying to reject the caffeine since i immediately got some headache n stomachache right after i drank that

  • week 2 | 1/23-1/29
    • day 1 (1/23), my sleep schedule is slowly going back to normal again. but i've had a massive mood swing over the past few days. after that coffee, feels like my body craves for more now- since my focus suddenly drops out a lot, become more sleepy in the middle of work, and more irritated.
    • day 4 (1/26), i become sleep deprived at the day time, but lately i have been sleeping on time, below 11 pm and woke up around 5-6 am. tho i feel so sleepyyy- i'm starting to think maybe coffee can fix this.. :< but i guess i will fight the temptation
    • day 7 (1/29), just a few days ago, i want coffee so badly. but i think i have pass the withdrawal now. didn't really think anything about coffee in this day 7. makes me almost forgor to record.

  • week 3 | 1/30-2/5
    • day 5 (2/3) i think i gained my focus back now. and i can sleep so easily at night lately- i forgor to report on day 1 (1/30). but maybe its because i finally off from the caffeine, i find myself didnt crave it as much as before. therefore i forgor it exist /meh
    • day 6 (2/4), wao, i think i can, say that i'm finally free of it now. i still think i wanna drink coffee sometimes- but i can just brush it off like its nothing now. that's crazy- i don't know i can pull this out. otherwise, focus back, didnt feel tired whenever i woke up in the morning now. more energy.

  • week 4 | 2/6-2/12
    • day 1 (2/6) i'm staying up late today, because i'm kinda busy. but i just know to this day that i can pull a nightlighter without any caffeine.
    • day 4 (2/9) idk what should i write. i still think about wanting to drink coffee lately but i can easily brush it off. feels like i'm finally free from it after almost 4 years of being caffeine addict. it's feels nice
    • day 6 (2/11) im constantly thinking to drinking it again oh nooo :< but i think its because i feel i dont get enough sugar from my daily tea hahah =w=)); ig ill try another observation about no sugary tea after this finished

before:

  • psychological effect:
    • every time i feel fatigued, i feel like i must drink coffee or any other caffeine to not feel tired.
    • i can't focus/start anything productive if there's no coffee around me. but then again, the focus only lasted for about 2-3 hours, and i have to drink more if i want to extend my focus.
    • hit my emotion like a truck (just like day 1 of observation) if i didnt drink any for only one day.
  • physical effect:
    • my mouth feels sour if i didn't start my day by drinking coffee
    • tend to be sleepy in day time and night time (even tho i already have 8 hour of sleep)

after:

  • psychological effect:
    • more focus!
    • no more agitating, anxious
  • physical effect:
    • sleep schedule turn to normal
    • no more sleepy in day time and after i eat
    • mouth not feel sour anymore :>

how is the observation goes?

  • i noticed some changes of myself in the week 2 and week 3, n its sooo!!!! positive! i want to feel like that again.

  • what i notice:
    • how much it takes for me to stop from negative addiction? its takes about 20 days!! (for about 1 sample i took, which is, this. that kinda got me motivated to stop other addiction to make the number more precise.)
    • 1st week is when my body seems mad at me for stopping :< it's hit me like in all directions-
    • 2nd week is when i get a huge withdrawal. but it's more of a huge psychological effect i must endure (being moody, mood swing, brain fog/lack of focus, etc). i constantly think "maybe i should drink it...". and it's so hard to ignore because the temptation keeps staying on my brain. but i think it's only lasted for 5 days..? after that i forgor about it.
    • 3rd week is when my body finally learned how to live without it. i can easily brush off the temptation, and in this week, i just know i can do some deep focus for 6+ hours without drinking any coffee. i hardly notice any negative effect of me stopping on third week, which makes me forget to record on the first day of this week.
      • otherwise, i'm starting to notice its kinda take me for a while to get addicted to a new things.. its takes about 5 days constant exposure. good note to take for myself ig
    • it's insane i can pull this off just by thinking "but i wanna know what will happen on day 30"- i didn't expect anything, I just legit wanna know what will happen, whether its a bad thing or good thing.
