- jan 1. A 14-year-old came on to me. Went to North Cronulla beach during a party.
- Met Esabel & hung out with her for the afternoon. O HAI THURR @bitchville! :) Esabel and I had Pancakes on the Rocks and hung out for a bit around the city. Yeah, found we get along great because we’re both lazy fuckahs and we hate children. See you again in LA?
- jan 2. Eye-sexed by schmexx-on-a-stick Bambi. Dum Dum Girls @ Oxford Art Factory, in Darlinghurst, Sydney. Sorry if this is low-quality. This came straight from my phone. Anyway, the Dum Dum Girls were incredible tonight! Dee-Dee cried. She said she thought no one would show up at this Sydney show. Girl, come on. I met this girl Rachel (featured in ze video) during the set of the Cabins, the band opening for the DDG. We both made sure we’re up at the front to dance to ze girls. Also, I can’t help staring at Bambi. She’s been doing eye-sex with the crowd the whole time. Not once did she smile. But yeah, schmexxxx. Also, sorry a few seconds were focused on Dee-dee’s legs. Not a perv, just having a hard time shooting while ~feeling~ the music. Lol whatevs nakakangawit rin pala
- jan 3. So warm at the hostel. Is there a heat wave in Melbourne? I was there 2hrs early! I was sitting on the pavement with the young ones & I actually heard them rehearse Evil Twin! Danced with two equally buzzed girls as Miles Kane played Come Closer, not to mention more sharing .
- jan 4. Chinatown, Parliament House, ACMI. For now, I'm letting myself fry at Fed Square. It'll be colder soon, gotta soak up the warm. Funny, there was a heat wave yesterday. Was cat-called by some random dude across the street. I love u 2 Melbourne.
- jan 5. I swear it wasn't the "Summer Breeze" (vodka cranberry), the adorkable Zach Condon reduced me to a dazed fangirl when he smiled at me. Jan, they were marvelous. When they came on, I was awe-struck, felt a shiver at the back of my neck. The earth could be standing still, I’d believe it. Then they started playing. These six men were captivating—it’s something about hearing really good music and seeing them juggle instruments to make said music right in front of you. And then while playing, you observe Zach Condon… he’s sipping his scotch and tapping his leg and chest before his parts—he’s following the rhythm—and everybody else is doing the same in their respective seats, head-bopping, foot-tapping. The show felt intimate and warm despite the chilly summer night (there was even a mild rain shower after the show!). My heart melted away. I was kilig throughout the set. Zach was also such a dork when talking to the crowd. He’s adorable. He mentioned his parents flew in from New Mexico to watch him at the Opera House. Anyway, I’m going home really happy. I’m grateful I saw them perform.
- jan 6. Without any plans for the day, I ended up in Newtown and was made to gorge Italian gourmet and four orders of Max Brenner chocolates (each order a concoction of different sorts chocolates)
- jan 7. Picnic at Mosman. Long flight home.
