There's high uric acid in my blood, so I gotta watch what I eat from now on.
- Drink 12 glasses of water/juice.
- When shopping
- NO high-fructose corn syrup
- NO yeast
- GO for whole grains, not refined carbs
- GO for low-fat/fat-free dairy products like cheese and yogurt.
- saturated fat - little
- polyunsaturated fat - one gram per serving, GLA high
- monounstaturated fat - OK
- fibre - 4 grams per serving, preferably soluble
- transfats - none
- Eggs but in moderation.
- Wine & coffee allowed.
- No soft drinks and beer in the meantime.
- No bacon, organ meats, and anchovies.
- Remove skins.
- Soups with no broth or meat extract.
- Tofu is OK.
- Other Sources: tea, chocolate, wholegrain breads and cereals, oats and oatmeal, yeast and brewer's yeast, ice cream, flavoured squash/fizzy drinks
