- It's nice to look at. For something so expensive and well-publicized, you have to give them that.
- I'm not very impressed with it, though. It tells rather than shows.

- Little strange things that appeal to me. In this show, it's Paz dela Huerta's (whose character's neck I want to wring) and Margaret Schroeder's speaking.
- Steve Buscemi and Michael Pitt and Vincent Piazza are badass sexy motherfuckers.
- Speaking of Vincent Piazza, I am attracted to him and his character Lucky Luciano. Small coincidence that my favorite Mad Men character is Pete Campbell played by another Vincent, Vincent Kartheiser.
- Showgirl Gillian is a fine fine fine woman. She's probably the Joan Holloway of this show.
- Margaret Schroeder from here, Margaret "Peggy" Olson from Mad Men. INCEPTION!
- If I may say so, the opposite of Boardwalk Empire is Downton Abbey. "i fucking love boardwalk empire but man, it is the poster child for slow-burning television. it’s probably the only show that could have a kkk shootout and a speakeasy raid in one episode and still make it feel like absolutely nothing happened."
- Team New York all the way. I love Rothstein. So forward-thinking and clever. Loved it when he turned his way around Nucky in the Pilot. Loved it when he profited from yet another deal with Nucky in the end of season 1.
- That Lucky-Gillian Sex Round 2 was hot. “Gonna whip you through the mud like a filly at Belmont.” What can I say? I like a relationship built upon snark and boners.
