- In a nutshell, Don and Peggy are strictly and decidedly platonic. Yet there is underlying complexity and intimacy between them. The same way Don and Anna share a bond, Peggy has that with him too.
- There's the talk they had in season 3 episode 13 that convinced her to join him in SCDP. He says that she knows what others doesn't. In a way, Pete's, "Trudy doesn't know me, but you do" talk during season 2 comes to mind.
- The "connection" they have made especially clear during that scene where Paul Kinsey lost his idea. They finished each others' sentences.
- Don's her mentor. And she have also gradually transformed into his equal.
- They have professional chemistry! Together, they built a solid foundation of SCDP's Creative department.
- Really, how could you not swoon at his, "I will spent the rest of my life trying to hire you." That's something every employee would want to hear from her boss.
- Such comic relief!
- In the STELLAR episode that is "The Suitcase," many times have Peggy put on her coat and took her purse, readying herself to leave... but eventually always coming back to Don.
- But ultimately, I think a romantic/sexual relationship arc will ruin them.
- I honestly believe that Peggy is the protagonist of the show, and Don the antagonist in that he's the "obstacle" in Peggy's goals... obstacle not in its primary sense but in that he is her mentor, she his protege.
- I don't think Wiener will do it just to fanserve.
- These two's bond is too precious and complex.
