• push your bottom of the chin with a thumb (not neck, not gullet! only the bone of the chin under the chin - not from the front because it won’t help)
  • deep breaths not always help so
  • if you are dizzy try to tense your muscles, hold something hard like you are supposed to fall down from somewhere, every arm separately
  • drink wormwood, probably mint pills help to but I didn’t try them yet, there are some meds which you can buy in ever drug store - just ask about something to reduce nausea
  • try to be in a safe space, where are you least afraid of v., for example - I am more scared of v. around expensive things, in public places, when I lay down (because v. paralyzes me and I can’t go to the toilet or even bend down…)
  • remember that diarrhea is about the same thing as v. - it throws away bad things from your body so think about it as about toxic people you push away from your life, you will feel better without them, even if at the beginning it looks like a sad situation
  • try to talk to your body, out loud: smart stomach wouln’t do that, if food is coming down then only stupid stomach send it back, don’t you know directions? I will give you a special gift if you have diarrhea instead of v., you can do it! I believe in you! don’t you worry! I will always love you and take care of you! I know you can survive (now try to tell to yourself how many times you survived similar situations, how long time ago it was and how fast time passes - but only if memories don’t cause you worse nausea!), it’s like a board game we play, checkers have to go forward! or we won’t win! food which stays in the stomach is a hero! I am a hero and you won’t win, even if you win - it’s one time, because I win more often than you can count! etc.
  • try to think about things in detail, but not food! for example what you will do when you will feel better finally etc.
  • try to find a good sides of the feeling - yeah I know it looks stupid but it helps - it won’t be bad because I ate only a soup! it would be worse if I ate meat OR it’s good I am home now OR how glad I am that mum helped me clean up last time, it’s good to have friends who help me - I have to be strong for them!
  • take meds for bloating
