More from List Your Self.

  • Laptop computers (This has let me write away from my parents' computers and given me freedom to access my files wherever I can carry my laptop. I don't know what I'd do without it.)
  • Linux operating systems (About six years ago, I stopped using Windows as my primary OS and replaced it first with Fedora Core 4 and then with Ubuntu Hoary Hedgehog. I still use Ubuntu now. It's free and I'm free.)
  • MP3 players (Because my portable CD players skipped and cassette tape players were too bulky. Not that I didn't like cassette tapes -- in fact, I still prefer them to CD's.)
  • USB flash drives (These have far more storage for far less money now. I got my 128MB for $60 and my 1GB for $15. I use them as easy transportation and backup.)
  • Wireless Internet (I never thought I'd be able to access the Internet beyond where my cable could reach. It's wonderful to be able to connect in so many more places.)
