One thing I used to really love about my life was that I always had an abundance of friends to hang out with and do stuff with. But I've been hiding out a lot because of certain insecurities and this has really caused me to cut down on the people that I meet, and it has gotten mixed results on my end. (On the one hand, you get the feeling that there are friends that you really have outgrown, on the other, you sometimes get overwhelmed with loneliness).

  • You really have to deal with the big stuff first.
  • You have to be okay and be ready to move on from the fact that not all plans work out the way you intend them to.
  • Sometimes, bad things happen to good people.
  • I spend so many of my days just trying to get over myself. Why?
  • No matter how good you think you are, it never hurts to network.
  • Balance is the key to everything.
  • I am afraid of everything and because of that, I end up doing nothing on a daily basis.

So my life has been at a stand-still lately. But it hasn't always been this way. There are some things that I am truly proud to have done, and it helps remembering them for times when you don't really have an idea of what to do next. This is a sampling of events that range from seemingly mundane to really woah.

  • Went on a month-long tour of the country performing for a musical with reformed ex-convicts (Bagong Silang the Musical)
  • Organized a university event and got interviewed and recognized by MTV Pilipinas - never got to see it though!)
  • Dropped everything to go on a beaches of the Philippines roadtrip with org friends (San Juan La Union, Vigan, Pagudpud, some Pangasinan place I don't recall)
  • Interned for the Presidential Chief of Staff at the Malacanang, was one of 100 graduates chosen to participate in this

Travel always makes me feel like a better person. I'm not sure if it is because I myself feel that I am not at home where I actually am, or because I internally get to check off a to-do whenever I am in one. But whenever I do, I really do feel like a better version of myself. I like myself so much more when I am traveling than when I am here at home.

I love going to the theater! It's too bad that the whole law school thing has put this love on the back burner. That should be changing now that I am finally rid of law school.
