CAUTION: THIS LIST MAY CONTAIN MOVIE SPOILERS. SORRY.

  • I think this was Michael Gambon's best performance as Dumbledore. He did it really well, and although it doesn't make up for "DID YOU PUT YOUR NAME IN THE GOBLET OF FIRE?!!?!" he's not as horrible in my mind anymore.
  • MAJOR PACING ISSUES. The horcri (John Noe!) didn't feel like the central part of the movie, which they definitely were in the book. I felt like a lot of the movie was "LAV-LAV! WON-WON!" and then towards the end they were like "Oh shit we're out of time! We should go to the cave now!"
  • The movie, however, was absolutely HILARIOUS. Rupert Grint was amazing and fabulous as Ron.
  • CORMAC MCLAGGEN. YES PLEASE. Also, dessert with the Slug Club. SO GOOD.
  • Speaking of the Slug Club, I particularly appreciated Marcus Belby.
  • Luna was amazing and adorable and so zany. I'm so glad they included the wrackspurts! And her Slug Club Christmas party dress was awesome.
  • Speaking of dresses, when did Hermione develop this fashion sense? That pink dress she was wearing was beautiful.
  • No funeral for Dumbledore? No white tomb? That makes me sad. But I thought the pointing of all the wands up into the air was a nice gesture, and very powerful
  • "So you and Ginny did it, then?" OMG SO FUNNY.
  • The inferi were creepy, but I felt like they were way too... skeletal. I imagined them more like real people. And they also didn't explain that AT ALL. Which is okay for me, but maybe not for someone who doesn't read the books, like my sister.
  • The guy who played Slughorn was great, despite not being nearly as fat as I would have liked. He had the personality down, though. Overall I approve of that choice of casting.
  • Narcissa's hair? LOLWAT? It looked like a skunk curled up and DIED ON HER HEAD. I mean, I didn't expect it to be super long and super straight like I had imagined, but she's a MALFOY. I wish it had been ALL blonde. It's not hard to do, is it?
  • The beginning was really exciting. Even though there was no Other Minister scene, I still thought it was really good. I think what they did instead took the place of that really well and it accurately conveyed the feeling.
  • Weasley's Wizard Wheezes was PERFECT.
  • The lack of Neville was not cool. He had like, one line?
  • THE FELIX FELICIS SCENE WAS AMAZING AND PERFECT AND D-RAD DEFINITELY ACTED LIKE HE WAS HIGH AND IT WAS GREAT. So funny. "Harry!" "SIR!"
  • I liked the last shot with Fawkes and the Astronomy Tower. It was good.
  • They didn't explain the Half-Blood Prince thing AT ALL, besides the fact that it was Snape. I felt a little bit as if they pulled a POA movie Marauders on me.
  • I wish the coward thing had been a bigger deal than it was.
  • Roonil Wazlib, you were missed.
