- That scene in the beginning with Quilty was ridiculous. IT JUST KEPT GOING ON AND ON AND MOST OF IT WASN'T IN THE BOOK AND I THOUGHT IT WAS NEVER GOING TO END.
- They said that Quilty was a TV writer? That's such a heinous lie. THE BOOK TAKES PLACE IN 1947.
- Lolita was like... sixteen. So she's not a nymphet anymore. I know they changed it so it was less creepy, but if she's sixteen then Humbert wouldn't have been attracted to her at all.
- WTF was up with the dance scene? THAT WAS NOT IN THE BOOK.
- JOHN AND JEAN DEFINITELY WEREN'T "OPEN-MINDED" (*COUGH* SWINGERS *COUGH*) IN THE BOOK. Jean was like... coming on to Humbert. It was disgusting.
- Likewise, Charlotte was ALL OVER HIM. I mean, we all know she's supposed to be interested in him, but still.
- IT WAS ALL SO SLOW. AND SO PAINFUL.
