My mom supervised what I was watching on television at the time so I didn't get to watch what everyone else was watching. Those times when my mom wasn't in the room with me, I watched some of the shows people kept mentioning to me at school. I was that kid that didn't know how to talk about why I haven't seen this or why I haven't heard of that. Anyway, so when I seized the opportunity of being unsupervised, I ended up not understanding much of what was going on these TV shows. I said to myself, "Oh, well. I guess I'll have to wait until I grow up." I've spent most of 5th through the 8th grade being sad and left out. I was only able to understand like one show. Since then, I've revisited some of these shows. It made me understand why my mom restricted my TV viewings and why I didn't understand much of anything. One thing still bothers me to this day: How did my classmates manage to understand what was going on?
✎ I'm also including shows that aired when I was a teenager.

✄ ✄ ✄ I remember seeing some bits and pieces of these shows but I don't think I should go out of my way to watch them now. ✄ ✄ ✄
