- all of us kids in the summer at cousin's house trying to make a whirlpool in their above ground pool by all of us trying to get around the edge faster and faster
- an older girl in the apartment complex teaching me how to do a back dive into the pool
- being obsessed with the frog and lily pad themed multiplication table banner in third grade
- being the line leader in elementary school
- birthday parties being held at skate rinks
- completing the reading goal during the school year so i could go on the school trip to the water park at the end of the year
- doing everything possible to be the one to read the compliment box in fifth grade
- doing hand clapping rhyme games with friends before school
- field trips
- forging mother's signature on consent forms to ride a different bus to go to a friends house after school
- having the bath towel warmed up a bit in the dryer so it would be really nice getting into out of the bath
- making paper fortune tellers
- my grandpa chaperoning on field trips growing up
- my grandpa coming to have lunch with me sometimes in elementary school
- playing the "mash" paper game with friends
- sitting in front of the t.v. on grandpa's living room floor eating chicken noodle soup wrapped in a blanket after swimming all day
- that kid next to me on the bus in elementary school telling me i had a really good singing voice
- the absolutely massive ice cream cones they sold at the water park
- the ice cream truck coming into the apartment complex now and then
- trading a boy in my second grade class my snack cake du jour for his bell pepper slices at lunch every day
- trying to count the marbles in the jar in ms. montgomery's class
