• tequila shots with work colleagues after bringing my friend to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy
• ran a stranger's merch table
• played mahjong on my phone
• did my duolingo lesson
• got a kiss on the hand from the guitarist of one of my favorite bands
• smoked (while in a place where it was still legal to smoke indoors)
  • i thought this would be cool but i hated it, everyone was just ashing right onto the dance floor and i was just worrying about all these girls in open-toed shoes
• sold a painting of the startropics start menu
• fell in love-at-first-sight with someone i never saw again
• shared a mccains deep & delicious cake with a stranger
• in the mosh pit with a guy in a gumby costume
• was given gummy worms by the future poet laureate of edmonton
• at a live hedwig show downtown, every time there was a quiet moment the sound would leak in from the karaoke bar next door, and the guy playing hedwig treated it as if that were tommy's show and criticized his vocals/song choice
• caught an artist's pick when he tossed it directly to me
  • one week later at the same venue, a different bassist came over at the end of the set and gently pressed his pick into my hand
• at an all-ages bar show with two friends when i was ~16; two of us put those little sword-shaped cocktail toothpicks through the (existing) pierced holes in our ears. other friend thought we had just, with utter cool unbotheredness, pierced our own ears with plastic toothpicks and endeavoured to do the same, with less cool and unbothered results
• rescued someone from crowd crush and, while doing that, encountered a girl having a panic attack whose friend was trying to get her out, and i managed to get all four of us safely out
• watched a video on my phone of the elden ring drip inspector while at the barrier at a punk show
  • before the set. i'm not a monster
• at barrier, shoulder to shoulder with a stranger who also came alone, both of us texting our moms
• paid a guy $5 to go away
