• Entry 0513. After a period of turbulence, I have decided to resume documenting the life of specimen 8112, better known as Damien. The subject has spent today in an oddly good mood. They read "The awful german language" by Mark Twain after having stumbled in it during their normal activities; they seemed to enjoy the reading, as they made sure to talk about it with everyone. After practising their German, the specimen went ahead to read chapter three of "Se quiser mudar o mundo" by Sabrina Fernandes. At night, they got in a group call with the specimens 2792 - known as Gustavo - and 2532 - known as Alexandre.
• Entry 0514. Damien spent most of their morning listening to Taylor Swift and daydreaming. By noon, they had a small breakdown and cut their own hair, which is not an unusual occurrence. After dealing with whatever that was, the specimen went to their English class. They spent the afternoon drawing a self-portrait for a "know the artist" they intended to post on Twitter, and, amazingly, they liked the result. At night, again, our subject went in a group call with specimens Gustavo and Alexandre. Today they tried playing Habblet, a multiplayer game, and Damien met another specimen, of unknown number, that answers by the name of João.
• Entry 0515. The specimen had a hard time looking online for a book called "The crooked path" by the author Kelden. Thankfully they were helped by Alexandre. With the book in their hands (figuratively speaking) Damien could resume their studies of Traditional Witchcraft. After many years of trying, the specimen known as Gustavo convinced Damien to start watching Merlin. Damien regrets it.
• Entry 0516. The subject of our study woke up very late today, the reason being that they stayed up until 2 AM dancing in the living room. They spent most of the day texting other specimens and have tried to read chapter four of "Se quiser mudar o mundo" (still a work in progress). During the afternoon the specimen started a drawing of their friends. Now, while I'm writing this, they are in a group call with Alexandre and Gustavo and they seem to be judging other specimens on Twitter.
• Entry 0517. It's 11:15 in the morning. Damien is listening to Taylor Swift. Again. I swear this is the worst specimen I've ever studied. Influenced by the desire to not be useless, they resumed their studies on witchcraft... Which ended in a lot of visualization practice... Which made them bored. To fix that, they listened to Juno Steel and the Lesson Learned (episode 04 of season 2 of The Penumbra Podcast). Afterwards, Damien and subject 2792 - Gustavo - watched some episodes of Merlin. And our main specimen finished the night by reading more of chapter four of "Se quiser mudar o mundo", a chapter they should have finished already since it's not that long.
• Entry 0518. Damien and Gustavo got together - in a group call - with the specimens known as Gabriela (2942) and David (2242). The group played Stardew Valley together. Besides that, we have no record of the whereabouts of subject 2532, his sudden disappearance is mildly worrying... For scientific reasons.
• Entry 0519. Subject 8112 spent the day playing Stardew Valley. That's it. They did only that for the entirety of the day. Perhaps they've also watched Merlin with subject Gustavo, but I'm not sure... it might have been a dream. Some of my memories are escaping me. On that note, Alexandre's presence can be sensed, but his body is nowhere to be found. The subjects are starting to look for him, acknowledging his disappearance. They shouldn't look.
• Entry 0520. Dark clouds loom on the horizon... Soon enough they will be here. There's nothing I can do about it. Rain will pour down again, as every time before. God, I hope it'll be like every time before... Damien has been ignoring it though. Playing Stardew Valley like nothing's happening. I know they know about the clouds, they're just refusing to acknowledge it. They probably could stop it if they did... If they really wanted to.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀Alexandre has made contact, briefly. You could miss it if you were not careful enough. It seems that he's fine... I'm glad....... No. I don't care for what happens to the specimens... I'm only here to observe. That's it.
• Entry 0521. Friday is always an interesting day for our specimen. It's the only day they make an effort. Wake up early, dress up nicely, try to make their hair don't look like a piece of trash. All that for a one-hour English class they have no interest in doing... Or do they? They know they need the classes and they make an effort, I don't understand why they act like going to class is such a pain sometimes. Well, trying to figure out how Damien's brain works is a lot of fun, but it's not >my< job. This file is supposed to be only about their life, nothing more. Eh, let me check my notes..... Besides going to class, Damien also went in another one of those big group chats with his closest friends - Gus, Gabs and David - to play Habblet together. Afterwards, Damien took a nap to recharge and, along with Gus, watched another episode of Merlin.
• Entry 0522. Damien started the day by listening to Helplessness Blues by Fleet Foxes and playing Stardew Valley. And, for the rest of the day, they just walked around the internet, watching videos, reading fanfics, retweeting things on Twitter. That kinda thing. They wrote a bit, too... random words, thoughts, feelings. They have been feeling a lot, and they are scared of it. Their first instinct is to run away, shut down, wait until it goes away. It's what they are the best at: running away, ignoring it... Turning a blind eye.
• Entry 0523. 1 AM. Damien and Gustavo are playing Habblet when they meet someone named Harry Styles. Could be just a random person on Habblet, but they are >wild< and it's been some time since Damien laughed so hard while playing this game. The problem with starting the day on such a high note is that there's nowhere to go but down. After going to sleep and waking up again, they finished the book they were reading, texted some people, had an interview for a course they really wanted to study, failed the interview, went in a group call with Gustavo and Alexandre... and finished the day by playing Habblet, again. Now, when they wake up tomorrow to realize their plans have been shattered - again - they will go straight down that spiral - again - and they will shut down and start avoiding people again. How tragic.
• Entry 0524. Our subject woke up and decided they wanted to visit their mother. A small trip, 5 days - or more - away from the internet and everyone else, what could go wrong? Besides the plans for the trip, they didn't do much. Some reading, some listening to music... Having nothing more to do, they started watching a Netflix series called "Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous". They thought it would be one of those bad series they watch just to kill time. But alas, they loved it.
• Entry 0525. The specimen's plans didn't work out. Their trip was cancelled. Thankfully, Damien had the rest of Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous to watch and nothing could make them happier than watching animated dinosaurs and listening to Jurassic Park's soundtrack.
• Entry 0526. The specimen's progenitor (number 7655) came to visit and brought some homemade sweets for them. Due to the event, Damien woke up earlier and cleaned the whole house. They seem to be having problem dealing with people.
• Entry 0527. The subject played Habblet while in a group call with Gustavo and Gabriela. They've been watching... videos? They've been... I don't remember...
• Entry 0528. Friday again. How did the week go by so easily? I didn't even... Damien... did something today. I think I need a break. I'll call in someone else to keep watch of subject 8112.
• Entry 0529. The specimen named Damien has a really poor diet. They've been eating microwaved food for the whole week, they don't go out in the sun and spend the whole day playing Stardew Valley. I certainly don't understand why must we keep track of what they are doing or why they are relevant for our project. Or even why my teammate had so much trouble with these records.

• Entry 0612. I've been losing track of time... Sometimes I spend hours playing the same game. Sometimes I mindlessly scroll through Twitter. Sometimes I stay silent listening to people talking in group calls. Sometimes I just sit in bed watching the wall for ungodly amounts of time. The last week has gone by so quickly I don't even remember what happened.

• Entry 0617. Damien woke up feeling sick today. Shaking like never before. They know very well what is wrong and what they should do. They have something else in mind too... a feeling, you could say. I don't think I should be writing about this.
