this is messy but I don't care
- Though I often shed tears upon hearing the death of a political figure I adored, never has my sorrow been more genuine today, with the passing of Margo MacDonald. She not only inspired me with her unquestionable logic and wit, but my mother and grandmother. A truly great Scotswoman, and one we've all got utmost respect for. She was fearless. She was honest. She was deeply intelligent. She was gifted. Took no shit from anyone. Even aged 70, she contained more political nuance in her tiny finger than all the grey-faced careerists present in Scotland today. She dedicated her entire life to furthering the cause of Scottish independence, tragically passing with the referendum a mere 6 months away. I'm choked up with tears as I write this. There 's a lump in my throat. In the mean time, my thoughts are with Jim Sillars and her children. God bless, Margo. Rest in peace. < 3
We're going to win this referendum, and win it for Margo.
