- Syria → I hold the rather unpopular belief (particularly in amongst the leftist ranks) that a Western intervention would have been beneficial to the Syrian people, in the sense that it would have ended the civil war (and the suffering it entails) a lot quicker. Of course, that is no longer possible due to Obama's failure to live up to his 'red line' policy. Meanwhile, as this modern day atrocity perseveres, I wish to express my solidarity with the Syrian revolutionaries who are fighting to depose of the murderous Assad regime. God bless you.
- North Korea → At this stage, I believe we should extend the hand of friendship towards the DPRK in an effort to normalise relations between Pyongyang and the West. Joint military drills between the US and South Korea should stop, particularly those involving B52 bombers, as they're quite frankly intimidating and provocative. With these measures in place, I believe Pyongyang will be more open to cooperation, and, feeling less threatened, will divert their military spending to combat their humanitarian crisis.
- Venezuela → The Maduro government has been shooting peaceful protesters on the street and silencing the media in an authoritative manner. Any administration which willingly opens fire on its citizens has automatically lost all justification for its existence, if you ask me. Whilst I acknowledge the achievements of the Bolivarian revolution, we oughtn't forget that Venezuela is still a mess, as this article explains well. I believe it is time for Venezuela to elect a new leader, whilst still retaining her socialist principles introduced by Hugo Chávez.
- Palestine → I support the Palestinian people in their tireless effort to depose of the murderous Zionist apartheid regime in Israel, however disagree profoundly with the elements of anti-Semitism within the liberation movement. My solution to the conflict would be a bi-national state, named Israel-Palestine, populated by Jews, Muslims and Christians alike, all equal under the law.
