    • ✓ Hop aboard the Stena Line HSS to Belfast, N.Ireland; once there, visit the republican murals, nurse a quick pint of beer, and drive into the Republic.
    • ✓ Arrive in Dublin: exchange the dosh, grab some scran, hit the Trinity College, get ferry to Liverpool (7½hr crossing).
    • ✓ Set foot in the green and pleasant land of England; meet the lads in Manchester.
    • DRIVE TO LONDON - once there, go to Piccadilly Circus, get some food in a 24hr joint, sleep.
  • Thursday, March 27th, 2014.
    • 10:30AM - line the route around St Margaret's Church and wave goodbye to Tony Benn, a fine man, and one of England's greatest socialists. ♥
    • ✓ Visit all the (free) tourist attractions in London
    • ✓ Drive to Dover and hop aboard the Pride of Kent to Calais in France, departing at 22:05PM.
    • ✓ Arrive at 00:35AM; drive the 70 or so miles to Arras, pull into a layby, and get some sleep.
  • Friday, March 28th, 2014.
    • Set off early from Arras (where we've pulled in for the night) and drive the 113 (or so) miles to Paris.
    • ✓ Go up the Eiffel Tower - €13,50 for tickets. And then drive up the Champs-Élysées and get caught up in the traffic around the Arc de Triomphe.
    • ✓ Leave Paris. Drive to Brussels at 1:30PM.
    • Have late lunch at Slurps in Belgium. And maybe quickly run and see the Manneken Pis.
    • ✓ Drive to Amsterdam, and immediately get in queue for the Anne Frank House (closes at 7:00PM).
      • ✓ Later get some scran, hit the Red Light District and then rent a bike and go for a wee cycle around the town.
  • Saturday, March 29th, 2014.
    • ✓ Drive from Amsterdam to Düsseldorf in Germany.
    • ✓ Have brunch/late lunch (depending on what time we leave Holland, ofc) at Kaffee Uhlenbusch.
    • ✓ Visit the sights of Düsseldorf:
      • Reinturm (observation deck).
      • Königsallee
      • Schloss Benrath
    • ✓ Hit the road, and make the 5hr journey (jesus wept) to Berlin, where we'll stay with Anna - my German bff ♥ - for the night.
  • Sunday, March 30th, 2014.
    • ✓ Rise and shine fairly early (8-ish?); have breakfast at Anna's apartment, or maybe a street vendor.
    • ✓ Go up the Berliner Fernsehturm TV Tower.
      • opens: 9:00AM, €12,50 entry for 16+.
    • ✓ Go on a mad-dash around Berlin; see the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate, the remnants of the Wall, Checkpoint Charlie etc.
    • ✓ Hit the road, this time bound for Kraków, Poland. At this time I'd imagine it being 11:00AM.
    • ✓ Find a church in Poland so we can go to Mass.
    • ✓ Arrive in Kraków - visit all the free attractions, provided they're open for business, being a Sunday and all. IF NOT, then visit Auschwitz-Birkenau.
    • 7:00PM - depart Poland, and make the 5 hour journey to Prague in the Czech Republic.
    • ✓ ARRIVE IN PRAGUE. SLEEP.
  • Monday, March 31st, 2014.
    • ✓ Spend the morning and early afternoon in Prague; must visit sites include the Charles Bridge, St. Vitus Cathedral & the National Museum.
    • ✓ Visit the village of Lidice.
    • ✓ Hit the road at 03:00PM and make the 3⅕ hour journey to Vienna, in Austria. Once we're there, we'll treat ourselves to an expensive meal at Mini.
    • ✓ After eating, proceed onwards to Budapest in Hungary. Once there, we'll either find a dirt cheap hostel or just sleep in the car.
  • Tuesday, April 1st, 2014.
    • ✓ Have crêpes for breakfast at Café Kör.
    • ✓ See all that there is to see in Budapest: Buda Castle, the Chain Bridge, Fisherman's Bastion and the Basilica. And have a wee picnic in a park.
    • ✓ Find a public swimming pool – swim a few lengths to get the old legs in order, and then shower, oh my dear fucking God. I need one so badly.
    • ✓ Get something simple for dinner (a salad?).
    • ✓ At around 06:00PM, set off for Bucharest in Romania. Approximate journey time is 7½ hours.
    • ✓ Sleep in the car.
  • Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014.
    • ✓ Visit the Palace of the Parliament and hop aboard one of those city sightseeing buses.
    • ✓ Try looking for little references to the communist Ceaușescu regime, like government buildings, architecture, street names, etc.
    • ✓ Get cake and coffee for lunch, and leave Bucharest at 02:00PM approximately.
    • DRIVE TO BELGRADE IN SERBIA.
      • ᴇᴛᴀ: 10:00PM, provided the traffic's moderate.
    • ✓ Register ourselves at a police station within 12 hours of getting a Serbian stamp in my passport. Seems a little pointless considering we're only going to be there for, like, 13 hours, but y'know...
    • ✓ Sleep in my wee Ford Ka for yet another night.
  • Thursday, April 3rd, 2014
    • ✓ No time to do anything in Belgrade, unfortunately. We'll grab a quick breakfast and get going, this time bound for BAR in Montenegro (8½hrs in the car).
    • ✓ Cross the Adriatic via ferry to Bari in Italy, with the journey taking approximately 9 hours.
    • ✓ Once in Italy, we'll just have a semi-early night, perhaps nurse a few cans of beer, and sleep in the car. Need an early rise the next day.
  • Friday, April 4th, 2013
    • ✓ Set off really early from Bari, today bound for Rome and the Vatican City. Estimated journey time is 4 hours, though a scran break may delay us slightly.
    • ✓ Arrive in Rome. Visit the Colosseum, and then later grab some brunch (traditional wee pasta dish?). Afterwards, visit the Vatican City.
    • ✓ Drive to Civitavecchia, a coastal town 58 minutes away from Rome, where we'll catch the ferry to Olbia on the Italian island of Sardinia (5hr crossing).
    • ✓ Get to Porto Torres on the northern coast of the island, where we'll catch the ferry to Barcelona. Estimated journey time is 12 hours (D:)
      • note: buy some crosswords and puzzle books in Olbia to keep us entertained.
    • ✓ Sleep in the car in Barcelona.
  • Saturday, April 5th, 2014.
    • ✓ Visit some free tourist attractions in Barcelona.
    • ✓ Buy some Free Catalonia merchandise, and meet with Catalan separatists to discuss the Scottish independence referendum process.
    • ✓ Lunch at Passadis del Pep, provided it's not too expensive, because seriously, we're broke. No money whatsoever.
    • ✓ Drive to Madrid, with the journey taking approximately 6 hours - might take longer if we stop to admire the countryside, however.
    • ✓ Arrive in Madrid at 07:00PM, approx. Once we're there, we'll grab a bite to eat, sit in the park for a few hours, and then sleep in the car. As said above, we've got no money (or energy, lol) to do anything.
  • Sunday, April 6th, 2014.
    • Hit the road, bound for the coastal city of Santander. Journey time is approximately 4 hours.
    • ✓ As we wait for the ferry, we could find a kirk and attend Mass, perhaps arrange a quick Confession?
    • ✓ At 02:45PM, board the Britanny Ferry bound for Portsmouth in England, for a 24-fucking-hour sailing. The thought of this is making me ill.
  • Monday, April 7th, 2014.
    • ✓ Once the boat docks in Portsmouth, we'll drive the 1½hrs to London and lie low at my aunt's house for a day or two, until we go to China.
