• Take ScotRail from Glasgow Central to Edinburgh Waverley; £8.20.
• Board the Airlink 100 to Edinburgh Airport, and once there, meet Margrét, Friðrik and Roan at Caffè Nero.
• (10:55) Board the EasyJet flight to London.
• (12:15) Arrive at London Gatwick, and rush to the currency office - exchange £1200 for ¥/€.
• Catch the National Express to London Heathrow.
• (13:15) Board the AirChina flight to Beijing - remember to bring books, cards and puzzlebooks for the flight.
• (06:20) Arrive in Beijing, People's Republic of China.
• Hail a taxi to the Hilton, and later go out for dinner at the Samadhi Vegetarian Restaurant and Teahouse.
• Return to the hotel and watch a movie.
• Sleepsleepsleepsleepsleepsleep.

april 10th

• Go sightseeing in Beijing:
  • ☭ Mausoleum of Mao Zedong
  • ☭ Tiananmen Square
  • ☭ Forbidden City
  • ☭ Ming Dynasty Tombs
  • ☭ Temple of Heaven
• Meet Óskar and Benedikt in the hotel lobby at 7:00pm; go out to SUHU - Vegetarian Tiger for dinner.
• Try and get to sleep early, 10pm at the latest.

april 11th

• Go to several segments of The Great Wall located in Beijing, and purchase some tourist souvenirs.
  • send a postcard to my parents
  • communist memorabilia
• (16:00) Assemble with fellow tourists at the Koryo Office for a pre-trip briefing; lasts 1hr approx.
• Eat at the Black Sesame Kitchen; Beijing's no.1 restaurant.
• See a film at Mega Box 美嘉欢乐影城.
  • return to hotel afterwards and get some sleep.

april 12th

• Meet outside the Koryo Office - time awaiting confirmation - and later head (with accompanying tourists) to Beijing Airport Terminal 2 for the flight to Pyongyang.
• (13:30) Board the Air Koryo, and take off for Pyongyang Sunan International Airport, DPRK.
• (16:00, North Korean time) Arrive in Pyongyang. Proceed through immigration and customs, declare the items I'm traveling with, and once checked, meet our tour guides.
• Board bus, visit the Arch of Triumph en route to hotel.
• Arrive at the Yanggakdo Hotel
  • and, if feeling rebellious, try and sneak a visit to the 5th floor.
