• coworkers - past and present. i've met some great friends through work.
  • getting fired - it was the wrong job for me, and i wouldn't have had the courage to quit on my own.
  • my emergency fund - more like, the ability to forsee i'd need one. i didn't get unemployment, but i have a nice nest egg to pay my bills over the summer.
  • my love life - i go through periods where it's more complicated than others, but i'm glad for the recent decisions and developments. and if it doesn't work out, i'll always be the love of my life. and yes, i mean that.
  • my surgery - more like the medical team who helped me during this challenging times.
  • networking - i've met tons of kind, supportive people who have opened me up to different financial, educational, and professional opportunities.
  • publishing articles - i've had a boost in my writing confidence.
  • quarantine - the opportunity to work from home and balance my time.
  • starting my freelancing journey - i finally have the tools to freelance and get my writing out there.
  • working full time - i'm still unsure how i'm going to organize my time around freelancing and working full time, but it's relieved some of the pressure from worrying about bills all the time.
