- cheating/ betraying a good person makes me more moral - stories
- dropped reversals
- interracial unions where a 'woke' person of color gets with a white people who's unequally yoked...and no one comments on it
- major actions/plot points that take place off the page or via summary
- making a big moment about politics instead of character development
- mary sue
- overly romantic names/ names for a poodle
- poor, ranty dialog
- pretty white girl stories (where the heroine doesn't terrible stuff without consequences because she's pretty, often white and privileged and doesn't examine it)
- rushed endings that don't correlate to the story at all.
- stories that with white dudes that cry over small stuff in relation to the narrative (a la Cheever's "The Swimmer". Love that story, but still)
- stories where the characters never lie, and their goodness is the central plot point.
