  • assumptions that they won't value their womb. i've lost count how many times i've been asked why i don't have kids and if i've ever been pregnant.
  • assumptions that we'll be the ride or die, come up woman, or someone who's okay with being a second choice, or that someone will automatically be unattracted to us (colorism)
  • cherry picking hoe behavior
  • constant comparisons to non black women, that they're so much better
  • no one wants us in a feminine way
  • not being fully desired or preferred, but tolerated.
  • that we're all 'strong' and have 'attitudes' even if it's people who are aggressive and come for us.
  • we'll take care of the household, willingly split the bills, while letting our male partners lead (confusing gender roles)
