- don't lead into a relationship with sex
- don't talk about future plans if you're not sure about them
- don't think that relationships are complicated, really they're not
- don't think you're going to make the other person change their mind with a bait and switch
- have a life outside of dating
- if you can't consider a relationship at this point in your life, please don't date
- it doesn't matter who talks to whom as long as there's mutual interest
- it's great to get to know the person, but understand if the feelings aren't real in the beginning stages
- it's important to be at a place where you're clear emotionally
- relationships are comprised of commitment, respect and responsibility
- tell the other person what you want up front
