- people are entitled to their preferences
- not all preferences are innocent, and we should accept that
- preferences can be tied to racism, homophobia, fatphobia, and trauma
- no one should run around shouting about their preferences
- it makes other people feel bad when you exclude them
- some preferences are just flat out discrimination
- the only people who should know about our preferences are people who are dealing with us
- preferences aren't something to be virtuous about- they aren't badges of honor
- we have preferences in everything
- someone prefers you! and me!
