God has placed a window of deep knowing within every human soul. Sometimes, we impede this understanding by burying it beneath the clutter of ideologies, books, biases, rationalism, and extraneous voices. Beneath all of those veils, God is waiting for us to meet Him; waiting for us to come to Him empty-handed and open-hearted, armed with nothing but the realization of our own nothingness and the barest comprehension of His greatness.

The most essential act of rebellion is to engage in the reclamation of the lost territory within ourselves that we gradually lose to the tides of cynicism, materialism, & the superficial pressures of the world around us. To stand by that reclamation and own it, even if it makes us appear maddened, strange, or naive. To give ourselves permission to value what we truly value and find beauty in what moves us, even if the world disagrees.

Wisdom isn't about erudition, intellect, degrees, or well-articulated philosophies. Wisdom is about moving beyond such limitations and reawakening the essential truths embedded within your God-given nature. Wisdom is about rediscovering the pure childhood climate of egoless faith, hope, and trust; to free your mind & heart enough to experience life with unblemished clarity, joy, and gratitude to the Creator of it all. Wisdom is about letting your assumptions and mental traps fall away, freeing you to experience and perceive things as they truly are.

Vulnerability is a key ingredient in the development of the most essential human virtues: integrity, courage, humility, compassion, love, honesty, and authenticity. Vulnerability enriches & beautifies everything it touches, especially love. In the absence of vulnerability, true intimacy becomes impossible.

Vulnerability begins with being completely honest with yourself about your weaknesses, shortcomings, and flaws, and recognizing where they're coming from (ie. shadow work). It's about connecting with and healing the wounded inner child that insists on upholding & feeding these weaknesses as a form of self-protection.

From a spiritual perspective, vulnerability is about taking power away from your inner demons by identifying the wounds within you that still need healing. It's about asking the question: what negative actions, habits, & thought patterns do I engage in as a reaction to my inner wounds? In my quest to avoid getting hurt, what behaviors do I engage in that might cause harm to myself and others?

When we acknowledge the places where we're weakest and turn to God for help, He transforms our weaknesses into an ocean of resilience, beauty, and strength, and gradually awakens us to one of the most fundamental of all truths: there is no strength or power except His.
