"We fear men so much, because we fear God so little."
{William Gurnall}
"That which is threatening to the ego is liberating to the heart.
{Ajahn Amaro}
Allah revealed to Prophet Moses (as): "He lies who claims that he loves Me, yet when the night covers him up he sleeps away from Me [forgetting Me]. Is it not that every lover loves to be alone with his beloved?"
{Imam Sadiq (as) | Amali al-Saduq, p. 292, no. 1}
"In the relationship to God and forgiveness, the human being should not be obsessed by the conscience of his guilt, for his transgressions are natural and even wanted by the One: God is waiting for human being to access the need of Him with the profound will to come back to Him with gratitude, trust and love. He invites man not to drown in his own fault but to grow up and rise in His love. His forgiveness is hoped (for) with our love and it is offered by His love."
{Tariq Ramadan}
When the phrase “He is the First, He is the Last, He is the Outer and He is the Inner” (57:3) is heard, it at once gives you a different view of the universe. Then you understand the meaning of all the genuine qualities within yourself and realize that there is a goal. You will see that if you are a beam of light, then a whole world of light exists, and if you are a drop of water, it is because an infinite ocean of sweetness exists there, and a ray of His light is within you.
{Shaheed Mutahhari}
"Of the things that had a profound effect on my life is an advice I heard from my father: "my son, read the Qur'an as if it was sent down specifically to you."
{Allama Iqbal}
"In this Qu'ran, there is a lighthouse of guidance, and torches for the darkness. So, one must journey their eyes and open them in such luminosity. Certainly, thinking is life for the insightful heart in the same way that light helps the one seeking light in the dark."
{Imam Sadiq (as) | Al Kafi, Vol 2, p 600}
“A lover asked his beloved,
Do you love yourself more than you love me?
Beloved replied, "I have died to myself and I live for you.
I've disappeared from myself and my attributes,
I am present only for you.
I've forgotten all my learnings,
but from knowing you I've become a scholar.
I've lost all my strength, but from your power I am able.
I love myself...I love you.
I love you...I love myself.”
{Maulana Rumi}
