NIKKI

  • She is very outspoken, loud, intense and abrasive, but somehow us two opposites became great pals. we ended up really enjoying one anothers company, opinions and conversation. We'd sit that extra hour outside of our woman/gender studies class talking about everything from feminism and music to awful work instances and books. We bonded over our love for writing(she's an english major and I'm a creative writing minor)and our shitty highschool memories. We became such good friends that she invited me to her graduation and birthday party after only knowing me for a few weeks. It was nice to have someone smart and interesting to talk with, and she was the first best friend at university that I made.

AUSTINE

  • we had philosophy of science together and I found him very intriguing because he always had a valid and interesting point to make. We sat right next to each other, but hardly uttered a word until one day I saw him after hours downtown. He said he felt like an ass for not waving hi because he was so preoccupied, and ever since then we talked to each other each morning. He's always been kind enough to wave to me even though we no longer have class together.

ALONSO

  • He was one of the first people I met at the university that i instantly clicked with. I can be a total R-tard around him without fear of him judging me, in fact he joins in on the fun! We can definitely let loose around one another and we do indeed tease each other relentlessly. However, he's also one of the few people that i can actually have philosophical conversations with as well. I like talking with him because he always manages to make me laugh, think, and he really listens to what i have to say.

MARIAH

  • She sat right next to me in art and soon became friends with alonso and I. she's extremely soft spoken with pretty blue eyes, suffers from anxiety form time to time, yet can say some of the most outrageous and perverse things so casualy that it literally makes me fall out of my seat. We've had other art courses together and she completely gets my spontaneous weird sense of humor, all my lame references and we joke around about planning a future trip to Jerome.

SARAH S.

  • she's quite the perfectionist when it comes to her art which is something i secretly admire about her. Even when we didn't have a class together, she'd always smile and wave to me whenever we were in passing. She's got a good head on her shoulders and is always kind enough to chat with me.

CRISTINA

  • she reminds me so much of sayanna and I just can't get over how adorable and pretty she is. She's quiet at first, but once you get to know her she's funny. I can tell she loves her family a great deal. It also amazes me that she is majoring in both art and math.

KATHRYN

  • it was very strange meeting her because we looked like we could be sisters. she's really quite, yet has a powerful energy behind her. she seemed to really open up to me after our fun chair racing instance and always made sure to say hi during passing.

NICHOLAS

  • he has the weirdest laugh I have ever heard. It sounds like a really loud fake laugh, yet that's his actual laugh. He's real easy to talk to, and even after we no longer remained in the same division of art, he still manages to talk with me between passing.

BRITTINI

  • I could hardly understand her because she was so terribly quiet, however we became partners in japanese and she instantly warmed up to me and I to her. She seems so quiet and shy, but she's so damn hilarious and well informed once you actually talk to her. She's one of the kindest and most generous people i have met, and was always willing to help me out. She really got me out of my shell and introduced me to a lot of new people. She's so understanding and I love the fact we can have long talks about feminism, politics, being poor and i can tell her anything without fear of her judging me. We spent many after hours dorm hoping, cooking, washing dishes, screaming over spiders, going to study sessions, movie meets ups etc. I use to miss my bus because we'd stay after class and talk, so much so that she decided to sit with me at the bus station so we could still continue to talk and i wouldn't have to miss my buss. She really encouraged me to seek out every opportunity at the university and it was wonderful to hangout with her because she's such a positive person.

KY

  • He's the only person that makes me have diarrhea of the mouth, i just can't shut up around him! We are so similar, that at times it drives me crazy, and at times i have stuck my foot in my mouth and said more than I should have. He truly is a sweet sweet kid though. He even walked me to class even though I said it wasn't necessary. He knows exactly what he wants in life and I know he's willing to put in all the hours. I don't know how it happens but we tend to get on the most personal topics known to man with a straight face. He says "cute" a lot which makes me laugh, and apparently my odd ways makes him giggle at times, but people like that because we have fantastic smiles.

JOHN

  • we were group partners in eastern asian studies. I told him he reminded me of a ninja turtle because his shoes always matched his hat. He was super friendly, incredibly smart, and most importantly we got our work done.

FIONA

  • she was a foreign exchange student from China and she always smiled and brightened my day. She also had the most cutest phone gear.

OTHER EXCHANGE STUDENT

  • I never got his name(mostly becuase he would never tell me) but he was also an exchage student from China. He came up to me one day when I was sitting outside of class cramming. He asked me a million and one questions, even insulted me at one point by declaring I was a bad student, but for some reason asked for my name, and email because he wanted to be my friend. he'd always run into me during and after class just to talk despite the language barriers.

EVAA

  • I didn't like her at first because she came off as stuck up and rude and quite frankly I didn't understand why she was in art since she hardly fit the type. However, we found out we also had chinese pop-culture together and she asked me to 'cover for her' one day and after that we started talking more. We'd sit and chat in art about asia, our chinese instructors sweaters, our odd art teacher, how lame our projects were etc. We'd also walk to chinese pop-culture together which was great since we were always late and lamented over how adorably fashionable all the chinese kids are in that class. Surprisingly we both got along quite well.
