belonging to Alice (me)
- (departed) a Roborovski hamster named Bram. he's absolutely lovely but I'm afraid that his days may be numbered now as I've had him since I was fourteen and their lifespan is generally two or three years. I'm really not looking forward to 'that' day coming, but I suppose there isn't anything I can do about it. anyway, he loves the sound of my house keys shaking and is very shy around other people besides myself.
- (departed) a common goldfish that I won at the funfair. I'm not sure of the gender to be quite honest but I have always presumed that she was a girl, so I named her Lotte. not a nickname for Charlotte or any other similar name, just Lotte.
- (donated to pet shop) an absolutely ancient tortoise called Koos who had previously belonged to my grandfather - he was given to us for my 16th birthday as a very special treat. Koos is 73 years old and is the most charming and lovely little creature I've ever set eyes upon.
belonging to Jasper, my brother
- a five month old British Longhair cat by the name of Augustijn, although he previously was known as Constantijn. my brother wanted to give his newly acquired feline a posh and stereotypically 'British' name but he wanted to add a 'Germanic twist' as well. and thus, the cat was given his name. although he's generally quite nice, I get the feeling that he absolutely loathes me.
belonging to Eva, my sister
- two Veiltail goldfish. one is called Oksana and the other is called Juniper. until around four weeks ago, this group of fish was a trio - we suspect (or know, rather) that Oksana ate the other fish. her name was Máxima and had a very elegant tail. she was by far the prettiest of three and I was quite sad to hear of her sudden departure.
