- the morning the Euro was implemented; I can recall dashing to an ATM with mother and smelling the crisp, new banknotes. 
 
    - the first kiss I shared with Isaac. ♡ 
 
    - catching my breath outside a Parisian café whilst listening to the Romani boy with a cello on the Champs-Élysées. 
 
    - baking chocolate rice krispie cakes as a child, and having my photograph taken with a face concealed with chocolate. 
 
    - absorbing book after book on summer afternoons with my mother whilst slurping ice lollies on the balcony. 
 
    - the time I turned up to school intoxicated, and later found myself dancing to Gold on the tables in Greek class. 
 
    - Elka, Maartje and I's trip to the Reichstag in Berlin. 
 
    - the time my former English teacher told me, as I went unaccompanied to collect my satchel, that I was exceptionally talented and proficient in English for my age. 
 
    - spending a week in Walloonia, Belgium, and actually being able to hold a conversation with the locals in French! 
 
    - attending Eurovision in Düsseldorf and Malmö. 
 
    - coming out as bisexual, and being pleasantly surprised by everyone's near-universally positive reactions. 
 
    - the time I broke down into tears in the middle of a cafe,  and was cheered up by a thoroughly adorable old man who, upon noticing my sorrowful grief, purchased me a slice of cake and a hot chocolate. 
 
    - volunteering in a Rotterdam soup kitchen.
