- some flasks of tea. me and Catharijne agreed beforehand that I would bring two flasks, one filled with chai tea and the other filled with apple vanilla. she is bringing almond biscotti and... goodness, I forget the other flavour she is bringing - she took caramel flavour in the end.
- if our supply of tea runs out, then we should bring some energy drinks as no doubt, they'll be needed. although I personally dislike the way they affect your heart, two or three won't do us much harm.
- plenty of leaflets and information tickets so we can find places to eat and draw out money from the ATM machines.
- speaking of money, we should bring at least €100 each. I'm afraid my train card which grants me cheaper access on national trains won't do us that much good, sadly. it's such an expensive trip, ugh. and totally unnecessary too. why am I doing this again?
- snacks such as crisps, sandwiches and stroopwafels. Catharijne's mum is making the sandwiches, filling them with smoked ham, cheese, scrambled egg, cucumber, tuna mayonnaise and tofu and sweetcorn.
- blankets and hoodies because it's almost certainly going to get cold, especially when we're waiting around in the dark train stations at night.
- mobile phones, an absolute must. I'll have to borrow my mother's spare one as I don't own one. we'll keep emergency numbers on quick dial for each other if we were to get split up or in trouble, etc. but the thought of that happening makes me feel light headed and ill, so I'm trying to push those thoughts through my head into somewhere else.
