It lived in a separate house, went on alternating walks, etc. Then there exploded a population of rabbits in the middle of a pentagram or spiritual labyrinth walk (I forget which). Among them was the spirit of my former pet rabbit. I wonder if any of this had to do with the fact that he died years before my current dog entered the picture, or that my family used to have another pet dog.

I have no idea what the paper was about, but after the exam Carter donned a large dark gray cape & went off to a gothic castle to meet with a Dracula-like acquaintance. I followed her there & bicycled down an endless crooked hallway.

  • Among many witnesses along a concrete bank of a dark-watered lake, I saw a group of satanic-looking red-hooded figures form a circle with their arms outstretched to each other in the water. A very unserious large white duck quacked its way into the circle, thus ruining the gravity of the ritual.
  • Listening to music on headphones, I looked down & saw not my phone in my hands but a crumbling baked potato that barely held together a pair of batteries.
• ᴍᴀʀ 07 2024 ⭑ The AI-generated images of food in Instacart's recipe section gave me nightmares. Horrid visions of uncanny cured meats. Melted cheese like skin in a pimple-popping video. Sentient pizza. Just gross stuff.
• ᴊᴀɴ 05 2024 ⭑ Plinked coins onto a pigeon's head. The bird wielded me to the top of an indoor slope made of large slabs of cardboard or graham crackers jammed in among other things. I twirled in front of a three-way mirror, took a large styrofoam tube & molded it about my waist like a skirt which turned into bubble bath foam. I chased after a giant papier-mâché puppet down the slope as the pigeon flew overhead & rained coins onto our heads.

  • a gothic b-movie dream-plot about a rich married couple inviting guests to their beachside home, where in the basement of which they performed rituals of birthing sleepy human babies from the ears of nonchalant gray sheep
• ᴊᴜʟ 7 2023 ⭑ In a dark tunnel through a large accordion pop-up book, an angular yellow butterfly stopped in its flight, forming a flat yellow square that floated in mid-air. The ghost of my former pet rabbit reincarnated into a light blue paper cut-out of a hummingbird poking its beak through the yellow square & it froze in that position. I ran off to tell my sister about this phenomenon, but when we came back to the tunnel the hummingbird was gone. We tried looking for it to no avail.
• ᴍᴀʏ 17 2023 ⭑ The Malleus Maleficarum caused the persecution of Catholic saints in this dream, casting medieval nymphs & dryads into trials on a giant chessboard where they faced unfair judgment by playing-card kings that looked like the King of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland.
• ᴍᴀʏ 04 2023 ⭑ Lovely long-haired woman flies nude through the air, with eyes closed & arms crossed over her chest, her long hair lifting her body to an imaginary country where the locals gasp & gather at her soft landing.
• ᴀᴘʀ 18 2023 ⭑ I unfurled pages from old novels about 1930s socialites, put them on a gurney & wheeled them into a library that had three different surgical rooms where librarian-nurses "processed" the sheets & asked me about the books' conditions. I worried that I had to pay overdue fines.
• ᴀᴘʀ 04 2023 ⭑ Watched the Smashing Pumpkins play Cherub Rock on a clunky miniature portable box TV in an art classroom where I mixed up the plot summaries of two different action films starring the same 1960s actor that my mind just made up, a sort of a British Anthony Perkins.
• ᴊᴜɴ 18 2022 ⭑ A 1970s punk dripped chocolate syrup on a pink rose. I woke up with the chant "I am the fieriest hellfire of hell" on my mind.
• ғᴇʙ 10 2022 ⭑ A Fantastic Planet kind of dream in which instead of aliens, a tyrannical husband tried to crush his tiny wife. She took revenge by sending a fake body to the hospital to fool & track down her husband.
• ᴊᴀɴ 22 2022 ⭑ Had 100s of wings & 5 eyes that multiplied into 25. Felt discomfort as a biblical angel, but the Virgin Mary said I just needed to practice.
• ᴊᴜʟ 12 2021 ⭑ Rubbed rose oil onto my knees during figure-skating breaks. Felt the cold rush of cross-overs on ice.
• ᴊᴀɴ 01 2021 ⭑ A massive furry gray spider hung against a wall in the dark. I tried to kill it by spraying it with disinfectant.

  • Visited a Wonderland museum where the Mad Hatter exhibited Alice as a transmogrified neo-Art-Nouveau hippie butterfly chased by a serial killer trucker. Honeybees & maybes seen through a moiré door-screen. Police searched for Alice at a mall as I skulked around in a tall gray coat.
  • Rode a roller-coaster through the rooms of a white palace & collided into a long water fountain in an art deco George-Barbier-style party scene filmed in the 1930s where couples danced & blonde women dripped diamonds as water from the fountain rained down upon them.
• ᴜɴᴋɴᴏᴡɴ ᴅᴀᴛᴇ ⭑ A nautical Georgian-themed dream with dastardly sword-wielding black-wigged pirates with large nodding feathers on tricorne hats & wide cuffs on black boots & scarlet coat-sleeves. A stow-away boy in rags hides within the bowels of a wooden galleon before the dream evaporates.
