DAY ONE

    • We all know what kindness is NOT. It's not anger, hatred, bullying, intolerance, or violence. We see these things, or hear them, and it makes us feel bad, it causes us pain. Even when we are not the ones being targeted, it does hurt our hearts, because we are all connected. What hurts one of us hurts us all.
    • Kindness is the anti-dote to all of this. When we are proactive, when we are consciously practicing kindness we can disarm any negativity around. Kindness is powerful, and precious at the same time. We appreciate kindness, we recognize it, and we honor it.

    • Today, be ATTENTIVE. Pay attention to the words you use. Pay attention to the messages you are sending verbally and otherwise. Choose to use a calm and gentle tone voice. Choose to ask, rather than demand. Take note when others are being kind, and express gratitude. See the many ways that kindness is demonstrated to you, and come up with ideas for ways that you can show kindness toward others.
