inspired by mau & petra, thank you!
- our grad trip (official), where it poured rain the entire day and we tried and failed to keep dry. eventually, we accepted our fate. me and t skipping stones on the beach and walking along the shoreline.
- our grad party (unofficial), where we hung out at a's house, i finished g's drinks because he's picky, and i slept over.
- walking through the snow on grandma and grandpa's farm to watch the sunset, with the dogs (piper and luna) trailing behind me.
- colouring our wooden playground set with chalk and playing pretend outdoors with e.
- going to see a local rock concert with evie and p, running into a guy i knew in middle school who shared his roach with me while we stood by the street and chatted music and life.
- dinner, drinks, ice cream, and getting higher than i've ever been during residency and my friends babying me (getting me juice and offering me food while dying laughing at my stream-of-consciousness rambling). watching shitty cable for the rest of the night with s, w, d, and m.
- going sailing with e when it was pouring rain and the ocean was black, looking over to him and seeing the purest expression of fear i've ever seen on his face.
- going to the national gallery of art and library of congress in washington, dc. taking the metro for the first time.
- sitting in the cherry tree in our backyard and writing poetry in my notebook as a kid.
- going snorkeling in hawaii with dad, him deciding to take a "less travelled" route, seeing a lot of cool tropical fish and coral but ultimately panicking because we got kind of stranded.
- karaoke night and screaming smells like teen spirit with k, afterwards high fiving each other and him saying "keegan, that was fucking awesome"
- snowboarding at m.t. and unfortunately spraining my wrist, but it was so fun up until that point.
- going to the lake with b, n, e, p, during the summertime.
- being in c's class, can't pick any one thing but office hours, praising me all the time, music recommendations and of course: "did you get my email?"
- saying goodbye to a before i moved away, him crying harder than i've ever seen and hugging me really tightly. i still remember his face then all these years later.
- delivering food to the guys working in the field on the farm.
- visiting ireland and driving through the countryside, seeing the green peaceful rolling hills.
- surfing at t.f., it was raining and so cold but really fun nonetheless!
- shaving my head and my mom's first response (aside from shock) was saying i look like a monk in a purely observational way.
- our road trip across the country when we moved to the city we live in now. writing in my journal the entire time.
